A third generation family farm, now open to the public on select dates!

Once only a “someday” kind of dream, our family owned and operated flower farm is now in its third season in 2026. Kinship Farms is located on private property in Acworth, Georgia, first owned by the McEver Family and now the Kennedy family. Three generations have farmed this land, growing flowers and vegetables for themselves and trading with neighbors.

Now on select days, throughout our growing season, we open to the public for U-Pick Flowers and Open Market Days to offer our harvests to the community.

Our farm is located at 5888 Allatoona Gateway, (formerly known as Glade Road) in Acworth, Georgia, We are not open to the public except for our U-Pick and Open Market Days throughout the season. We will gladly make an appointment for a private tour for those interested.

NEW FOR 2026: We will soon be announcing two new opportunities to see the farm in a private setting this season in the months of August and September. We will offer Sunset Garden Tours and Morning Floral Worshops. These offerings will be available by reservation only. Stay tuned for more info!

We start in March or April each year, plowing the winter cover crop to prepare the field for planting. We plant our first succession in May around Mother’s Day, then continually throughout the season, succession planing many flower varieties such as sunflowers.

We grow cucumbers, jalapeño peppers, tomatoes and okra, with our first harvest coming in early to mid-July. Zinnias, sunflowers, hydrangea, phlox, celosia, amaranthus, dahlias, cosmos, basil and marigolds thrive here and we enjoy most of these from July through October.

In 2025, we experimented with a medium sized variety of pumpkin, and those did incredibly well, so those will be available during our Fall markets in late September and October. Each season, we add 1-2 new varieties in hopes of adding a new flower or vegetable to our offerings.

In 2026, Jeannine applied for and was accepted into the FarmPath program, sponsored by PepsiCo and Mosaic Foundation. Created by Farm Foundation and supported by The Mosaic Company Foundation for Sustainable Food Systems and the PepsiCo Foundation, FarmPath is a national, multi-year program designed to make farming more accessible and achievable for aspiring and beginning farmers navigating today’s rapidly changing agricultural landscape.

Participants are gaining access to virtual learning, mentorship, business planning support, peer networking, and connections to leaders across food and agriculture. The program is intentionally designed to go beyond production skills, helping participants understand markets, finance, land access, regenerative practices, and the systems shaping the future of agriculture.

FarmPath begins with a broad Year One learning community before advancing select participants into deeper business planning, mentorship, and implementation support in Years Two and Three, including access to funding support.
