Good things happen when you keep your head down and work hard. Over the last year, I’ve kept pretty busy with my wedding planning, coordination and floral design business, all while starting our small farm and learning everything I possibly can about growing flowers and vegetables.
I often feel as though I am in my own little world, so it is nice to be seen and recognized for my work. After I read this most recent article by Voyage ATL a few days ago, I remembered two other magazines that shared my story as well, so it makes sense to share them all at once. I find it really challenging to promote my business, it often feels boastful and self-centered. But to be featured by these great publications is truly an honor, especially since the opportunity came my way by recommendation from my peers in the industry.
It’s fun to look back at all that we have accomplished over the past few years, and even more fulfilling to think back over the almost twenty years I’ve been in the wedding industry. Ideally, in the not so distant future, I will retire from planning and coordination, and my focus will shift to personal travel with my husband and growing Kinship Farms to its full potential. The farm has been such a welcome addition to our lives, and to have a new endeavor at this point in life is a real treat.
I hope you enjoy these articles as much I enjoyed sharing them! I’m forever grateful to my friends, clients and vendor partners for keeping me in business through referrals to their friends and family.
